Commentslooking to get our first JRT. do u have pups avalable and how much?? Thanks Commentslooking to get our first JRT. do u have pups avalable and how much?? Thanks CommentsNice website. I have a four year old Jack and he is graying rapidly. In jusst two years he has "lost" his black band around his muzzle and his eyelashes are white. His ears and head are also graying. I have discussed this with the vet and he is not concerned, however, I am. I haven't been able to find any information on "premature graying" in Jacks. Do you have any experience with this? CommentsWe have a Grand dogger that is a JRT named Duke! Duke is about a year and a half old and has suddenly developed a fobia when ridding in a car. He starts shaking and his heart beat goes way up..Our kids have taken him to the vet and have found nothing wrong with him...the vet even gave him valumm for his trip home. That has not worked either..Has any one had a JRT that has developed this fobia?? And were you able to stop it? Thanks for any comments CommentsI have one jack and it's name is trixy.I have been with her almost over a year.My jack stays inside the house and sleeps in my comfortable bed of mine.I take very good care of her.Trixy is a very good companion pup and is the sweetest thing.I'm on this website because I want Trixy to have a nice and friendly friend to be with. CommentsI enjoyed your page and loved your photos,we have two Jack's now and love them they are natural hunters. Ours are 14"dogs most people here like the shorter ones. CommentsI am the owner of a male jackrussel named Max. He has been with me for one year. Is it normal for him to shed alot? I am taking him to the vet today. I love him very much to me he is my dog son. He has 200 acres to play and run. He has a great facination with rocks. He loves to have you throw them and he rolls them back with his nose. I don't know anyone in the area who owns a jackrussel so thier is no one to compare notes on behavior. CommentsWill be purchasing a male JRT in the Spring of 2004. Would like to know when you will have a litter available (possaibly April)? Thankyou CommentsYou look very lovely. I am also very beautiful and a little taller than you (about 16 inches at the shoulder. we could dance together beautifully if we ever met. Love Buster CommentsMY JACK RUSSELL IS 13 mo AND HE IS EVERY THING I DIDN'T KNOW I WANTED. HE LOVES TO PLAY,EAT AND SLEEP.I COULDN'T LOVE HIM ANY MORE THEN I DO. CommentsYour page was informative I just bought a White JCT and she is the greatest. I am a desabled Army Vet and my doctor said and pet would be good for me. I have always liked big dog and have had Labs. But my doctor said a small dog would be better so i started looking and fell in love with the JRT. So now I have a 3mouth old female I named Sandie and I love her very much she is great to have around and keeps me in a good mood. CommentsWe have a new best friend, Sally Sparkle, she is 6 months old and is friends to all people and other dogs!!! CommentsA fine example of a parson - looks a really nice dog, Regards, Malvern and (parson jack) Squaddie. Commentslovely piccys CommentsCommentsI have just started hunting with JRT. I only have a pup, but she does real well for the time I have. I would like to get a couple more with one being a more experienced. My kids love going with her and that makes it more exciting for me. Nice web page. Wil Sanger CommentsWe have a male JRT named Mickey and he is quite the little character. He sometimes thinks that he is 10ft tall and bullet proof, I think he has little man syndrome...lol...anyways, he is an excellent member of the family, caring and watching out for my 3 kids and how he loves to root under the blankets and curl up behind my knees or in my chest and cuddle. What an awesome temperment and personality he has and smart as a whip too. I have enjoyed looking at the pics of your very handsome JRT "Q" and wish you all the best in the future with your breeding. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! Amanda & Mickey CommentsJust adopted a JR from the pound. He seems about two years old, but nobody knows. He acts like a puppy but had yellow teeth. He absolutely loves my 8-year old daughter and instantly bonded with all of us. He's a runner though and we can't let him out and have much expecation of getting him back. That's probably why he was in the pound. Where can we get some good training tips or books? CommentsHello... I love reading all the many comments written. My Dad has had a Jack Russell. I hated it at first but as time went on. She won my heart. If I ever get a J.R.T I'll make sure that it is involved in alot of activities. As they sound very active & smart. Awesome site.... Cherries. CommentsThis is a story about my dog Ivan. He is five years old and will hunt Pheasants and coon for me. I got him at a very young age as his mother died after haveing gave birth. We feed him with a eye droppers and kept him on aheat pad. We do alot of farm drainage work and goes with me every single day no matter where I go.(meaning I work away from home alot and he keeps me company away from home ) Last summer we added another jack to our family named Simion he has learned alot in the last phesant season and is now ready to learn the trait of coon. He is my boys dog and really watchs out for him he never is to far from him. If any buddy is thinking about a jack you will not regret getting one of these dogs. People say Labs have a personality wait tell you have a JACK!!!! Commentsinteresting Commentsvery nice story. we are about to be adopted by a little 5 mo old, male jrt. his family were to busy to spend the time with him, that he needed, and wanted, so they gave him up for adoption, and we are very excited and can hardly wait to have him come live with us. we have a 3yr old female, and do not expect more, we are retiring in march and looking forward to be doing things with the jrt's and our grandchildren (21). we are finding out lots of neat things, about jrt,and looking forward to finding out more and more. kaye and bob bartlett chauncey ohio Commentsreally liked your site and really smart Jacks, keep up the good work kind regards Jane Hadley ( Belgium ) CommentsI've had dogs my entire life but never one with a personality like Fergie. She's extremely intelligent and although she's nine years old, acts like a puppy. Greatest Dog Ever DON Commentsone of the best sites ive been on CommentsHi from Down Under , My Jack Russells are not pure , but still posess that wonderfull spirit, lets just say this area HAD a problen with ferral cats , not any more, I run a wildlife shelter and they mingle happily with everything that I care for. The most awsome moment for a male JR I had was when we virtualy bumped into a black panther, he stood his ground , next to my leg and growled,I'm not sure who was more frightened him or me, the panther took off much to our relief. I would never be without my dogs, Have a Good Christmas and a Happy New Year .....Lorna and JR 's CommentsLove your page, I'm looking for a Jack russell for a pet. If you know of one let me know. CommentsI have a JRT goldbrown and white. Face is half white and brown. She is a real good pet except if she can sneak out a open door she runs right across the busy street. I afraid she may get killed when stranges come to the door or visitors let her out by accident. She is a good dog and keeps me compnay. CommentsMy dog is a Jack Russell Terrier ,I love dogs exspeacialy mine so this is why im signing it! CommentsInteresting site. I have a 6 yr old male Jack (Petee) - he has one black eye and is solid white. They are the most loveable, loyal and energetic dogs I have ever owned. I always had large dogs (Labs) and never owned a small dog. I live on 300 aceres and I still don't think thats enough for him. We have a lot of moles and I think he has gotten most of them. Petee and our cat has a system. The cat waits until he chases the critter out and then the cat gets him. I won't own any other dog now. CommentsThose are some cute pets up above and I just wanted the owners to know that they are taking real good care of their animals and keep up the good work and have lots of reports that I like to do about animals on this web site and I always choose this web site to come too. CommentsLOOKING FOR JACK RUSSEL HOUSE BROKEN CommentsI love these dogs. I have a JRT which is the best animal I have ever had in my life. I must admit the dog is more demanding than the kids ever were, but Silo (4 yr old male) is a better companion for my middle age than I ever could have imagined. We have spent long hours at the Rice Point Wharf beach and I only need to say the 'B' word to have a jumping Jack at the door waiting to get into the car for the short ride to his large play-area! I have spent hours in hysterics watching the dog keep the seagulls and crows off his 'territory!' These are wonderul animals! CommentsWe have just raised our first litter of Jack Russell Terriers and finally found homes for them all. It was very difficult to decide on which pup to keep ourselves as there are five of us in our family and we grew to know and love the personality of each pup. Needless to say, there were tears when we finally made our decision and the other much loved pup was sold. Our chosen pup is a very handsome boy and we have called him Circus. Cheers to all you other JR lovers. CommentsWhat can I say? We love our Jack! Commentsmy jack russell pup 5months old has big knees is this normal for a wirehair jack russell CommentsYou folks have very nice Jack Russell's. I was thinking of training one to hunt Quail and other field game birds. I think after some instruction from when they were puppies, would work just fine. I don't know how we could get one from you from down under. Although in the states just 5 hours of driving east of us in eastern Iowa there is some folks that sell Jack Russell's. I have no idea of the quality of dog they are but none the less it is a Jack Russell. E-Mail me back with some shipping specifics, costs etc. Your Russell's caught my eye. Sincerely, Brett & Sonja Sebree Omaha Nebraska, USA CommentsJust wanted to say Hafa Adai (Hi) and that we are new owners of a very energetic Jack Russell and we love him dearly.. Commentsgreat house dog full of fun CommentsHi There. Nice site you have. I fell in love with the littel dog when I lived in the states. I have my own kennel and breed JRT. I just adore them and you are right.... I love beeing owned by them. Sincerly Lena CommentsMy family is looking for a JRT. Could you direct us to a reputable breeder in our vicinity? CommentsGreat Site Mate. John CommentsWe had a russell for almost 2 years and lost him when he chased a cat over a irrigation canal. Don't know if he went into the canal or over it. But he dissapeared and we have been heart broken over it ever since. Of all the dogs we have ever had, he was the most loved and cherished. I don't think we will ever get over him being gone. Right now as we speak his parents or mother is pregnant and we are going to get another one of her pups. The greatest dog in the world. Bar none. what a personality they have. He was loved. CommentsWE HAVE HAD OUR JRT FOR 17 MONTHS AND SHE JUST HAD 6 PUPPIES THEY ARE SO CUTE AND SHE IS A GREAT MOTHER WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR HOMES FOR THEM AROUND DECEMBER CommentsVery nice homepage, we can relate to this page, as our JRT is quite a bundle of energy, and a very good companion. CommentsMy Jack Russell name is Zeke we love him so much he is so fun to watch Commentsi have a puppy that's 11 weeks and he is just adorable. He loves to sleep with me at night under the covers. Your site is very helpful CommentsI found your page and saw some very good looking jrt's :). It's always nice to see jack russells who are bred to work. Commentsgreat site !myJRT Cracker looks at th pics and wants to meet alot of the girls ! jrt rule! CommentsVegas is now the master of our home and we're very happy to have received this blessing. He is mixed, the markings of a Jack Russell but with very blue eyes. He is my shadow and has been stepped on many times in his life, 4 months now, because he hasn't learned to walk beside me but prefers to walk between and around my feet. He loves clothes piles, dirty or clean, doesn't matter to him. He doesn't chew them but loves to "throw" them. Chasing a plastic bottle that contains pieces of dry food is his other passion. CommentsVery interesting reading - thank you. Have just adopted a 5month old JRT - finding out just what a handful they are!!! Have a few concerns maybe you can help or suggest a web site I can look on. 1. shaking - usually when tired and held. 2. a rash - redness of the skin the neck and under the legs - breeder said it was a demodex - she treated with a shampoo. We have been putting Vit-E on the areas? Any tips? The breeder is very reputable, so we are not too worried - just have a few concerns and would like another opinion. Cannot quite believe such a little bundle can have so much energy! Thank you Linda CommentsI love a lot my baby, she is a jack russell and then she is very fine, she is our baby, she goes to bed underneath the covers, and then she looks at the television with me. And well she is the more end to the world, I cannot ask more, then she travels with me. bye bye j`aime beaucoup mon bebe elle est une jack russel et puis elle est tres fine,c`est notre bebe elle se couche en dessous des couvertes ,et puis elle regarde la televition avec moi .Et bien elle est la plus fine au monde ,je ne peux pas demander mieux,et puis elle voyage avec moi. by by CommentsI AM LOOKING FOR A SMOOTH TRI-COLOR MALE FOR MY HUSBAND. He is so much fun and loves to cuddle. Commentsim 13 years old and love JRT's i have one myself and are very proud of him as he is very cheeky small and sweet plus is the best JRT in the world!! CommentsWe just recently adopted a jack russell and the whole family has fallen in love with her! Commentsjeg synes det er en god side der kan bruges til mange ting og den der lyd vov vov vov den ér sød CommentsMy two daughters bought me a JRT. I was wanting a beagle and hadn't came across anyone here that had beagles but my daughters friend had the JRT so she brought her to me I fell in love with her instantly. Her name was Sissy when I got her but since we have a boxer named Sassy and with the help of her behavior her name instantly became Taz, because she's like the tazmanian devil. But I'd never give her up for anything. We found out about her protectivness when she bit my husband in the mouth one morning when he leaned over me to kiss me goodbye. I bought books to help me understand her but I found your website to be most informative. I added it to my favorites list. Commentswell we adopted our dog SLY from the local rescue we have heard how livley the jack russel will be well he ahs brought so much life back into our 11 year old 127 lb doberman they run and play and get along great we have found out that sly loves water he spends lots of time retreaving his tennis ball out of our outside pond and even found a way to balance himself on the stairs so he can play in our 55 gal fish tank he sure is a handfull but our family wouldn't be the same without him thanks for this time to share this site is super hearing all about other jack russels teri CommentsCommentsWe have had our jr for three weeks, and hasnt she changed our lives,i dont know who loves her more my daughter or my husband. CommentsWe have just got our jack russell called patch, well she has changed our life, our daughter kept wanting a dog,so on my husbands rounds(lawn mowing) he always said hi to patch at one of his clients houses, and commented what a nice dog.Well they decided they couldnt keep patch and asked my husband if he wanted her,he said yes.She had only been here a week and caused trouble, she was attacking the wild birds,(our neighbour kindly informed us) you see we live on 1 acre of land and have rural fences so she gets out during the day,but when i come home from work she is always waiting for me.At night when she comes in she is always snuggled by my daughter. She treats her like a baby and doesnt patch just love that. CommentsCommentsbeautifull dogs hope to get one someday CommentsThis site gave us most of the info we could find on the web. My son's family has one, (which caused my love affair with JRT's)however, my daughter-in-law who mainly cares for "Bailey" said don't do it. They require too much patience and time. I figure, I got some of that...she says I'll regret it! What do you think? CommentsTHis is a great website. I am looking to buy a JRT. Commentsvery good web site. CommentsWe have a wonderful JRT named Chili who has been a beautiful addition to our family for over a year. Chili was a runaway that we purchased and our life will never be the same. Our last terrier was not a JRT but a mixed poodle and terrie we think, smiles; we had Snuggles for almost 22 years and she came from our own dog Muffin of 15 years. We are not breeder just lovers. CommentsCommentsI just got a JRT and he is 4 months old and on his best behavior. I am just starting to learn about JRT's and about all the excersice they need. Do you have any suggestions on a JRT that lives in an apartment and is alone for about 5 hours a day. Any training tips for new owner? I would appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks!!!!! Commentsyour web page is very good i found it by chance when i was looking for information on JRT . It took me 3 years to find a puppy and i managed to get one of a breeder here in orkney , he is tri coloured and is now just over 3years old and very smart .These dogs can be very domanating if given the chance some poeple don't realise this I am very lucky benji was very willing to learn and i have put alot of work into him in which i enjoyed .He loved the dog agility class , he passed is bronce medal in obedience but i pulled him out out of the silver class as it was boring him , he enjoyes nothing better than a long walk in the hills , but he still goes down rabbit holes and chases wild game which is good in one way as he still has the hunting instict . A more loving and loyal friend i don,t think i could find ,loves poeple , i am care assistant and take him to my work which the elderly really like he is so good with them , as long as nobody comes into the house or garden univited then he changes to a different dog has never bitten anybody but looks fierce .He has very itchy skin and ears sometimes the vet said they would put him on steriods but i said no , will try natural remadies if i have to . Keep up the good work and i enjoyed the pictures of the dogs wishing you all the best for the future | ||

I clean her ears and have tried ear drops from the vet but can never get completely rid of it. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks, Sisters Jessie and Patches
My little JRT is definitely also my owner.... Aren't they the funnest little monsters though! My life would be so dull without her!

SUPERB JACK RUSSELLS
I was reading your comments by lots of people. I have 8 jrt's. Started out with 2 Milo and Sadie they had six litters and I have kept 2 pups from their different litters named Ayla and Pudge. All of them are adorable. Love them so pieces. My question is about line breeding. Is it alright to breed my male dog to the female pups out of his litter. Please let me know. Thanks alot.
Answer: Breeding a Father to a daughter is INBREEDING not Line Breeding and should not be practiced.
Like 'Q" ,looks like he got quite a few Blen Badger genes
Have wonderful house and huge yard in Santa Monica California. Want trainable Jack Rus. I am in wheel chair who needs a friend
We have a female Jack Russell "Sassy" and she is every bit the sassy in her name. She is a very short smooth hair Jack and her tail is more of a stub. It was this way at birth. She doesn't really fit your description of the perfect Jack Russell in looks, but she does in temperment and every other way. She is a joy to be around though. The only time we have any trouble out of her is when it begins to thunder and then she shakes and shivers all over. She is a house dog, but believe me she gets plenty of exercise inside and out and so do we. I really enjoyed your website. Keep up the good work.
Very nice site. Every time the barking sounded, my dog Tomorrow(Morrow) would go to the window to see who was barking. My dog is excellent with children of all shapes and sizes as they will play and lay with her. She has them trained well. She has taught them to fetch the ball when she is tired and my two year old grandson loves to feed her by hand. I have found her to be extremely intelligent as she knows when I'm leaving to go to work she will go to her kennel and she also lets me know when it's time for her to go to bed. They are a super pet to have.
I'm tired already and we have had him 3 days. Love him but he is really a handful. Cracker Jack is with 2 cats of ours and another dog and they are all up on the furniture. We should have named him Taz for he seems like the tazmanian Devil. WE DO LOVE HIM !!!!!
Sassy 1 is a verry cute pup and sounds verry interesting your site has helped my family decide to get a jrt and are looking forward to our new member of the family or 'master'!
We are looking for a Jack russell and we would like to lern more about them.
we have a jack russel and she is a pill. her name is cc and she thinks she runs everyone around her. we have never left her before and our daughter is going to babysitter her for us when we go to georgia next week. she has a cat will cc hurt her cat?
nice site the dogs are adorable and also good hunters.
Do you know why JRTCA changed the height req. for shortys from 12inc, down to 10-12? Is it because EJRT height is 10inc and up.
ANS: The JRTCA Standard always has been 12 - 15 inches. It has never changed and is the standard all other Registries of JRTs have used to build their standard around. The AKC Standard is from 12 - 15 inches as they are a different breed (Parson Russell Terriers). The EJRT is also a different breed with a much different front assembly and leg.
We have a very special parsons jack russell pedigree. Perfect temprement, fantastic nose a great dog and we are looking for a mate, the reaseon for our first exploration of your site thanks.
I am interested in finding out more about races and any associations in Central Indiana.
I have raised Jack Russsels Terriers for 8 years. They are very active and lovible dogs. Everyday it is a new adventure.
jack russell terriers are great dogs! they are such cute ones! the recuers are wonderful! keep up the good work!
I live in ontario, I am a male jrt 8mths, my name is sammy I am looking for am female mate, I tall long legged hansum boy, smart as a whip, with lots of energy, two taned brown and white. i love kids, and trix are a blast. p.s need ideas for training to go outside, and to come when called.I've tried almost everything.
HOW SMART IS A JRT, REALLY????
Like your website! I have a twelve year old JRT, Cokie, that we rescued a few years back. She is our first small dog. (Our last dog was a lovable brown Dobie named Nella). Thinking ourselves "big dog" people, we never dreamed we'd have so much fun and get so much enjoyment out of Cokie. She's a true JRT though. She needs lots of attention, love, exercise and discipline. Every now and then if she feels we're not spending enough time with her she will dig out of the yard and disappear for a few hours as if to say, "That will teach you!" Definitely keeps us on our toes.
We have just acquired a Jack Russell bitch, born 8th May 2003, from a well respected breeder. We have called her Gem, we also bought a Border Terrier bitch puppie born 1st June 2003, from the same breeder, we have called her Meg.We are grandparents but think we have picked 2 lovely companions for our retirement years. We had to put our previous Jack Russell, bitch to sleep this last April aged 15 years, before her we had a Jack Russell dog for the previuos 17 years. We don't think you can find a truer friend for life.
I love this web site! I feel at home
I named my JRT "MAX". He has got to be the smartist, and most loving dog I have ever had. Never had any problems potty training him or teaching him anything else. Loves to swim. He is truly a joy to own.
I think you have a wonderful sight. I do think you should have more information for people with questions. I've been breeding Jack Russells for a couple years now. And my female, Molly, has been through 4 heats now and my male, Wishbone, and she have not hooked up yet. Any help from anyone? --Amanda Blumenthal
I'd love to have a Jack Russell Terrier, I just don't know if I could afford one since they cost so much! They're so cute and they'd be my best friend if I had one
those are the cutest JRT's i've ever seen, CUTE PUPPIES!!!!!
Jack Russell's are the most intelligent dog's on earth in my estimation. They are also the most stable. Or, at least mine is. I will always own at least one.
Your three new little females are beautiful...am looking for a female, but am hoping my search will end a little closer to home(Lansing MI).

I have just recently rescued 2 beautiful little 8 month old females (ormat least I think they will be beautiful) They are so covered with rashes from sarcoptic mange that my vet feels that we eill probably be treaing them for about 2 months. Their personalities are really sweet and they seem to think they are cats.
I HAVE A LARGE 4 BEDROOM HOME WITH THREE TEENAGE DAUGHTERS.THE HOUSE IS ON ONE ACRE OF LAND FENCED.MY WIFE STAYS AT HOME FOR THE MOST PART.AND IS ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING WITH OUR RAT TERRIER.I WOULD LIKE A JRT FOR HUNTING AND COMPANION FOR MY RAT TERRIER.FROM WHAT I HAVE READ I FEEL WE COULD GIVE ONE OF YOUR PUPPIES A TERRIFIC HOME.I PREFER A FEMALE,TRI COLOR ROUGH COAT.PLEASE E MAIL ME A PRICE LIST AND ANY FURTHER INFO.DO YOU SHIP?
I just bought the cutest dog i have ever seen. She is a broken coat jack russle.
Great Website!
I have to Jakes, 1 1/2 and 4 yrs. I would never be with out one. They are the best and give back as much love as I give them.
Very nice story. I am as well looking for a companion for our family, and after watching "Frasier" I can't stop thinking about getting involved with a JRT. So now we are investigating and wondering how they are. We have two teenage boys that don't like to be babied anymore, so I felt its time for a new member in our family. We are looking for a smaller type of a dog, because our home is not very big but our lot is. My wife is allergic to certain types of dog hairs and especially to cats, so cats are out of the question. We do like a dog that gets into mischief, I think its comical. So if you can let us know your experience with your JRT and how it gets along with children, since we have alot of young niece and nefews. Thank you Willy
thank you for comfirming what we been doing with our pup. Beautiful dogs, lots of work!
I adopted a deaf Jack Russell and she is the best thing that has ever happend to me. But talk about a learning experience.
I have a 3 year old JRT named Bijou. He is so much fun to have around. I can't imagine my life without him!! He keeps us busy as he seems to never stop!! For all those out there wanting a JRT you will be very happy if you are ready for work and a lot of patience!!
My family has been taken over by a very bright, energetic, personable Jack Russell. His name is Jackpot. Our family thinks we did hit the Jackpot. Great little Dogs. Your site has lots of good information.
our dog is very aggressive if she is sitting by me. She will growl if anyone approaches me. How do you change this behavior?
Ken...great page! Q just keeps getting better and better!
We have two Jack Russells. Our male is named Eddie and our female is Molly. They both are one year old. They are our hearts. They have brought us nothing but joy and love - lots of love... We socialized them with our grandchildren when they were little pups and it has been a wonderful bond ever since. We live in the country and have two acres of which 1/4 is fenced just for them. They love it and especially love their little swimming pool. We had two of our grandchildren over this weekend and the four "kids" played for hours in the yard and pool. The pool is only one of those little ones that people buy for toddlers but it works perfect in the hot humid South Carolina summertime. It isn't deep where you have to worry and it easily cleaned. Eddie is our ball chaser and after he has retrieved his ball several times he will run (with his ball in his mouth) and jump into his pool and "cool his jets". Miss Molly is our sentry dog. She is the caretaker of her family. She loves to chase the water coming out of the garden hose but the pool doesn't appeal to her. If I had known the love and joy I was in for - I would have been a Jack Russell owner much sooner. For whatever we have given Eddie and Molly - then have tripled it in the love they give us and our grandchildren... We babysat our sons Boykin Spaniel while they were on vacation. I was a little concerned how it would work out but it was wonderful... Eddie was jealous for a short while but Molly could not have cared less. One evening we were out playing with them and Eddie jumped into my arms to give his Mom a big kiss and here comes Miss Molly right behind him.. Well Mojo (the Boykin Spaniel) was not to be out done. Here is comes lopping along and before I could get out of my chair I had three dogs on top of me giving me more sugar than you could imagine. My husband said all he could see was my legs and arms. I guess that would have been a great Kodak moment... I just wanted to share with anyone who is interested in this breed that if they are willing to commit with all their heart to these precious little animals - the joy they will get in return is boundless. Thank you again... Elaine & Charles Crider St. Matthews, South Carolina USA
Thanks for the info. I'm into fishing & hunting so he'll make a good mate on trips out bush. Regards Jim
We are baby sitting a JRT with the possibility of keeping him. We don't know about his previous medical history yet. His aggressiveness showed up this AM after I got up and went back in the bedroom to get him to go potty. He growled and was very aggressive (protecting my Lady) still in bed. I don't like that kind of behavior. I reviewed the medical info. that you provided and I have a feeling that he has not had the necessary shots etc,as he didn't have any dog tags from a vet or the county health agency. It doesn't look like he will be staying with us much longer. I do thank you for providing all of this valuable information to assist me. Gary van Den Bergh
loverly

We are wondering if a Jack R.T. might be our next dog. We have had 3 Pit Bull Terriers and each have been a member of the family. The last just died at 10 yrs. and we are still morning her loss. Each have been a bit different but all were loved by our friends and families. Never mean always friendly. Bringing us to the temp. of Jacks. Maybe they would be to demanding for us. We like what we have read about them. I may need to read more.
I came here because I was looking for some jrt puppies near houston that me and my sister could buy. We've been wanting one. I enjoyed the website. I've read ALL about them and I think they're perfect. Good Job!
I love youre pictures their so sexy?
My mother and i are interested in these little bundals of joy. We were wondering if u do breed jack ruselles or no someone that does. I would like to have a price range for these little guys to get an idea of what i will pay. I already have a "american cocker spamial" and would like another dog to keep her company. "jewel" is very gentle yet playful at times. So if you can please E-mail me back with the price range or what you have availible and i would be glade to contact u and discibe the envirment the the puppy would be living in.
By the pictures I seen you have some beautiful animals.
I HAVE EMAILED YOU.
HI.I think Jack Russell,s are the greatest.I have a girl called "Daisey"she is tops for locating Feral Cats.We run aGame Farm for local and International Guests.I breed and train English Pointers for pheasant, partridge and quail.Feral cats are the biggest expense to our operation, the government here will not even admit Feral Cats kill our native wildlife,"Daisey"is worth a million dollars. The English certainly can breed specialist dogs.
Are Jack Russles and Jack Russle Terriers the same thing?
Just researching breeds. We want a good watch dog, but also one that is good with our children.
Hi! Lovely site! I have a parson Jack Russell from England. A mistreated creature from a dog pound, and she's the sweetest little lady! See pictures on www.geocities.com/bnakielski Grretings from Germany, Birgit

i think your site is great
Hi I was given my first Jack Russell as a wedding present 18 months ago and we love her so much, then after the death of my father last august the same show breeder gave me a little boy who was born totally white with a black nose and big dark brown eyes. He may not be show material but he is the most placid beautiful dog I have ever owned. I love them
I love my little man, his name is Knoxville, the home town of the University Of Tennessee. Alot of your white and fawn dogs look just like Knoxville. He was born on Nov. 21, 2001 and he has given me so much joy and laughter. Yes, he is spoiled. I'm a single mom, daughter 17 & son 31, and this is the first time in my life I've had a dog from birth. He was so tiny and cute. He pranced around like a tiny reindeer. Knoxville is not full blooded, but he has the mask, more than 50% of his coat is white (short) and he has a spot on his back and one on his tail. He has very strong muscles in his legs. I'm "too" proud of my Knoxville. Your site is awesome. Diana

I hae fallen in love with these little guys. I have recently been given a young male and I have friends that have one also. They are truly a special breed.
i am recieving a JRT on July 19th, 2003, and i would be glad to recieve any information about them i can. The one i am getting will be about 1 month old. Especially any information on potty training would be great. Thank you
I love your jrt website and am bringing one home in July, and I am sooooo excited!! If anyone has a few helpful hints it would be appreaciated.
Just browsing your site looking at the UKC Premier pictures. Nice pics of Kathy and her two puppies. We have a little female jack, she is 3. Im a friend of Kathies.
We just got our first JRT. So far it's been great. Other then she likes to nip a little to much. If we get that fixed will be fine. Unless something else comes up.
We have a 2 yr. old JRT rescued from an abusive home. Her name is Scooter, and she's completely taken over the house. Our other dog is a toy poodle and it was very hard trying to make them get along. Scooter was horribly aggressive with the smaller dog until we were got her into training classes and curbed most of her bad habits. These dogs do need training, and once they figure out their place in the world are wonderful companions.
Me encantaria recibir información sobre todo lo que tenta que ver con los Jack Russell, tengo en casa 2 parejas y recientemente tuvieron cachorritos, son mi adoración, ojalá puedan responderme en español. Gracias Myrtha Bermúdez
As a child I grew up with Jack Russel's. Our first bitch was given as a wedding present to my parents, her name was Tootsie. Tootsie was a rough coat tri colour JR and she was my father's constant companion and a fantastic ratter. She lived to the ripe old age of 16. Trixie was our next Jr a smooth coat and Tri coloured, when she was a year old Spot arrived as her companion. Trixie and Spot lived to be 15 and 16 years old. This is all from a very long time ago. Bobby my parents last dog died 2 years ago he was 14 he had outlived my parents and became a companion to a retired person with no kids. I have always loved JR's and 4 years ago we chose Rosie for our son. She is quite a character, she hill walks with me, mountain bikes with my husband and plays football with our son. Smart is not the word I would use to describe her, worldly wise would be better. All of our friends are converted to JR's she has a sweet nature is very sociable and .......yes I have to keep her well in check she is considers herself as almost human and would try to to be boss if allowed. Rosie is Tri coloured long legged and great fun.
Great informative site. We purchased a jack russell pup a couple of weeks ago and are visting the different websites.
My father and Brother just purchased 11 week old puppies and they are wonderful. My 10 year old son has had a great time training the now 12 week old pup to jump thru a hoop. June 24th is his birthday and yesterday we purchaced him his very own puppy.
Cute dogs.....need more pictures though
I enjoyed your website. I have a 8 week old 3/4 jrt and 1/4 chiahua(?) Very active and does not back down from my chow. She has responded very well to the crate. We have had few accidents in the house. I look forward to many active years with her. And life as I knew it is over now we have Celie. Thank you for a very informative website keep up the good work and your (babies are beautiful!
I have a jack 2! She is the best think that ever happened 2 our family!!
Do you know who would breed in this area?
We have a jack russel dog and she is a corker. when ever we get mail she will not stop barking until we give her a envelope to tear up. she loves all our grandchildren. she is very wild, we were told they out grow this in seven yrs !!!!! Does your dog lose a lot of hair? CC is our dogs name and she is white with half a black face and she has black spots under her skin. she also has a few brown spots. Her mother was black and white her father was just like the dog on Frasier on tv. She is a stinker. Pat Talkington
Thanks for the pedigres. Still having some problems. Just need time to work with it on my computer and see just what is going on. MM PS Great web site.
I am the companion of Ms. Skye--the world's best JRT. She seems to love her Cherokee-Irish pal and he certainly love life with a JRT. Never a dull moment with the old gal.

Excellent website...Beautiful JRT's!
I have a 4year old male jr named oscar he is one of the best pets I have ever owned and I would not be able to imagine life with out him!
I couldn't understand your feelings toward your JRT more. What an experience they are. Lucky is appropriately named living with (and controlling) three other dogs bigger than him.
I don't have a comment yet, but I do have a question. I have a almost 3 month old JRT puppy and his ear just started to stand straight up. Is the normal? Will they flop down when he gets older or can I train his ears to flop? If you are able to answer my question, I would appreciate it. If you aren't able to answer and can forward my question to someone else, I will appreciate that as well. Thanks NadineG

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the story of your family. My husband and I are owned by Jack and Sophie, our JRT's! Both of them are 6 years old - Jack is a long-legged male and Sophie is a short-legged female. Being owned and loved by a Jack Russell Terrier is the best feeling in the world!

Great site with wonderful accurate information!
I am the owner of two jack russells one 18 months old and a pup 16 weeks. The pup has had a fit or seizure of some sort, people i speak to tell me this is common in jack russells could you please tell me if this is true.
Can't wait to add to our family!!
We have three dogs--a spayed Miniature poodle and two whole female Jacks--mother & daughter and as unlike as could be. What competition! Also a Ragdoll who sometimes thinks she's a dog. The poodle won't give her a tumble but the Jacks will.
good site good pictures need more info
Beautiful !
Enjoyed your site. My wife and I have a short haired JRT. Large black saddle. Her name is Zoie Zinger.
enjoyed the story of your journey, I hope our's is the same positive experience
Great website. I was also wondering if anybody could help me locate a JRT puppy. I was looking in my local paper and there aren't any for sale. If you have any suggestions please feel free to e-mail me! Thanks and I look forward to your replies.
I am curious to know why the Jack Russell isn't an AKC dog. My Yorkshire Terrier that I also have now is a Black and Brown Silver Coat AKC Yorkshire Terrier. My Jack Russell is a female around 7 months old and has NO papers! The breeder said that Jack Russells don't carry any papers because they are the newest founded dog. I don't understand and are not for sure on his input but if anyone else has the right answer to my question please email me back. I will not answer the Email if the subject does not say: Jack Russell. So please make sure under "subject" on the email it says "jack Russell" Thank You. (I must only open Emails from those who I know...for i've had several Junk Email with Viruses.) :-) Have a great day.

Thank you for such a grand web page. I found the site to be very well layed out, easy to follow and grand pictures!! I have a 2 year old breedable JRT but I am unsure as to breed him or not. I have heard locally that they tend to get more aggressive. My JRT is a wire haired, we love him dearly, his name is Mango! Cheers, enjoy!

I am the proud owner of a 1 1/2 year old male Jack Russell named Pepper. I have not bred him yet, but do plan on it if I can get him registered. I was given the dog as a gift, and the giftgiver did not have any papers on my dog. He is full bred and ready to breed. His natural instincts show through on a daily basis. He is a digger. He is always digging in the back yard for moles and other critters underground. He is successful most of the time too. He is very energetic and loves to run. He plays frisbee rather well. It is an amazing sight to see him jump up and catch the flying disk between his teeth. It is almost like he is suspended in mid air sometimes. He really has an eye for following objects and controlling his timing when it comes to catching them. If I tell him to go get the squirell...he runs to the pine tree and looks up in its branches. I have never had to train Pepper...he is just naturally smart. He stays outside in a large fenced in yard. I have had several people approach me and boldly admit that they had considered taking him from my yard either because they are breeders familiar with the breed, or because they just think he is so darn cute. Naturally, I am leary of those persons and probably would not consider breeding my dog with any of theirs, but as I said earlier, I do intend to find a trustworthy JRT owner to introduce my dog to.
I am getting a jack russel puppy and i can't wait
I had mailed you yesterday and still waiting for a response. We are really interested in buying a puppy. We like the one in the middle of the picture with the black face and black tail. Hope to hear from you today or tomorrow morning as we are going away for the weekend. Cindy
Hi we are the proud owners of 9month old JR bitch named Poppi, she ruled the roost and keeps our 6yer old Dachshound Jessie on her toes. wonderful pics love Mal xx
I have 3 JRT's, 1 male and 2 Females. They are my constant companions and friends. All the negative things printed about these dogs have yet to surface with these wonderful dogs. I do not breed and have had them spayed and neutered. I could not imagine not having these guys!
Here I am again, looking at Q. Is the litter that has recently arrived the one with a lot of Blencathra??? I have finished with my main student and should have some time soon to find Badger's Pedigree and Bert's. Have no stud dog at present- Bert is 13- and need to find one or one to use. I tried EarthAngel with a "new" husband as The Hollow Chalkie left this planet. It was a disaster, though the puppies are soooo sweet and beautiful. I did get one wonderful little girl. I wish I could repeat it. I won't go there but I can't. So close but no cigar. EarthAngel may just have one more litter and I want to get it right this time. I realize that noone can guarantee this, and I love the last dog I bred to and do not plan to tell you who he is. The combo was just a heartbreaker. Again I will stop now, but I want to find the best possible probable match and try to avoid the same problems that occurred ( though one was congenital and is luck of the draw I think) the other major one is probably not, and so EA may have a recessive gene for it. Noone seems to sure just how it works, but I would want to know as much as possible about anything in the background that could be recessive. I get the feeling that you really care about the breed as I do, and that you would tell me if you thought a dog could/might have it anywhere in his background. Does Q have a phone number???? Would it be OK to call you sometime. Where are you????? Are you in NY??? I think you mentioned a city that is in NY but didn't say NY, so I wasn't sure. Almost every state has a Woodstock, but we are in Woodstock Ny. EA's Mom is Foxwarren Bijou and her Dad is Foxwarren Rocky. She is a strong and wonderful bich with a marvellous head and coat. She has beautiful babies. Smaller, narrow in the chest, is good for her. I wish I had Bert's Blencathra Dad for her. I don't know if your pedigrees are on site- will look before I leave. If not maybe we can talk. I just got a phone service with unlimited long distance and it frees my soul!!! I'm not a Jack Russell yet, but I'm working on it. Maggi at Fern Hill
I have a Jack Ruessll pup. He is 1year old.And i have a hard time with him. He is a very active dog. And if you could send me some helpful hints .

My dog has recently developed some type of lump on his nose and I was chcking your site to see if this was a common problem with JRT's but I see that it is probably not. Your site was very informative. Thank you for the interesting information

I have one and am looking for another, My, where have they been all my life. I just love her, she is my companion, next my partner in work, my guardian, I never knew so much in a little pkg. Up to date embarrassing moment, I allow her a spot in the garden when I am working there, to dig. My neighbor and great girlfriend took our picture when we were not aware. Two butts in the air digging in the garden!!
I have a Jack Russell Terrior named JACK .. oh the irony kills me! Thanx HAve a good Day!
Hi, I have just bought my new jack Russell, he's called Spit. We live in Devon, England, just a few miles from Swimbridge where Parson Jack Russell is buried, so, as you can imagine, the breed is very popular here! It seems some days that nearly every dog you see is a terrier. It is great to see such interest in America though. Andy Leat.
hey there... nice site...great looking dogs!!....i am an animal portrait painter and have been commissioned a few times to paint jack russells... thanks... lisa

I saw Spike's ass on the web. Wow! My girrrrrls couldn't decide whether they wanted to bite it or sniff it, but I think they would do the later. My motto is "never try to second guess your JRs" Where are you. I have Sommervale sally and Blencathra Badger and Flair, etc., in my pedigrees too. I like Spike. I am Fern Hill JR. Woodstock, NY. Have a page on pet-net.netif you would like to meet us. JRTCA all the way!
WE HAVE A 7 MONTH OLD BITCH NAMED RIA.CLEVER,NAUGHTY,TO BRAVE FOR HER OWN GOOD,BUT WITH A CHARACTER & PERSONALITY ALL OF HER OWN.WOULD NOT BE WITHOUT HER.
I have a question- I remember hearing once that the more whte on the dog, the higher it would rank n competition- isit then also possible to have too much white? My 2 1/2 year old Female is almost COMPLETELY white- except for a little light tan speckling on the edge of one ear, and one light tan spot only about 1/3 the size of a dime. Couldyou please give me your thoughts on this? thank you so much!
Our last Jack Russel was Bo aged 17years.After a gap of 2years bought our current Jack Russel Holly who is now 1yr old. Can't do without them!
My husband and I brought a tri-color smooth coat male Jack into our lives 12 glorious years ago. I have read The "Bad Dog" Talk and have been fortunate that the only holes he has dug are holes in his great gopher quest. He came into a home with cats and has his own 9 year old Siamese that he grooms on a daily basis. The cat even goes up to him for this regular ritual. He adores my niece and grand niece. Now that he is getting older, we are facing the reality that he will not be with us forever and are looking for another Jack to take over when the enevitable happens. We have been so blessed by this amazing guy we named Biskit that being without him is something we have difficulty accepting. Thank you for having a site to keep us educated on this wonderful breed.
lets keep them working
i am seriously considering a jack russell and seeking more information on them to see if our we would be compatable. can you be of help and is there someone is the yakima or seattle wash area i could contact?
i have a jack russle tererrior and it hates water is there any way to make him love the water
My family and i would like to get a jack russell. the problem is that we heard that if a bunny runs in our yard that nothing could stop it. Is that true? We also have 2 dogs that are labs and a bunny. Will he get along with the bunny and the dogs? We would really like to get one. Are they easy to train? We dont know much about jack russells so we are trying to do research on them before we get one. I hope you could get back to me. Thanks
I got my first JR two years ago as a gift for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. Her name is Kobe. What a devil. Jeez, she is way too smart for her own good. The first 2 years was hell. She did every thing she could to see what she could get away with. Thank God for the crate. Now, she is the best dog I have ever owned. She is also the weirdest dog I've ever owned. She's been staring at me for the past half hour. She is great with kids and cats! We brought home Carlito(our cat) a year ago, and they are best friends! We adopted another JR last year. His name is Debo. Poor thing was abused, and is the total opposite of Kobe, but they co-exist just fine. Thanks for your website, it's great!
just a small note to say that i have had jack russell dogs when we lived in england but we are finding it hard to find one now that we live in spain if you know anyone that can help we would be very greatfull thankyou.

I have a 7 year old female Jack Russell Terrier. This is the first Jack Russell I have owned and I would never get any other breed.
I have a jackrussell who we are trying to find a club to join and breed her because she is coming up to 2 in bristol.
I'm 11 years old and my granpa is trying to get a new Jack Rusell terrier puppy and maybe you have some. And I think they are so very cute. Anyways, If by any chance, if we get a puppy maybe you can give us a good deal. That would be wonderful. We've been trying to get one of these for so long but now I simply can't for some rerason maybe because they are expensive, or maybe they are just really popular or somehting like that. If you can get back to us, that would be great! Thank you very much for your time. Thanks again!
Very nice page! Mack (my JRT) came to live with me in Manitoba from Calgary, Alberta. My girlfriend rescued him from an abusive home and brought him to me as a birthday gift in February. Mack is a smooth coat, 2 year old who is mostly black which I know is not the breed standard. But you know what? I don't care because he's the most wonderful little friend in the world! He doesn't have any of the characteristics described in the "Bad Dog Talk" page! Mack isn't the least bit neurotic and he's quite content to curl up on the couch beside me after we've both had our exercise and playtime for the day! He's extremely obedient (actually chased his first rabbit last night and came back when he was called!), loves children and is living with 2 old cats (14 & 15 yrs. old) who never had a dog in the house in their lives! They play together and all sleep on the bed with me every night! Of course, Mack prefers to sleep under the blankets so he can be touching me! He's never chewed anything and never gets into anything he finds laying around! Mack is extremely social with all other dogs and shows absolutely no signs of aggression with either males or females of any breed or size! He just wants to run & play! He goes everywhere with me and is welcome in everyone's home as well as the pet stores, tanning salon, at work, wherever I go! I'm starting to think Mack is some sort of deviation of the breed!! A perfect gentleman!! He's my best friend and constant companion and I wouldn't trade him for the world! If I were able to find another JRT like him who needs a good home (preferably a rescued dog) I wouldn't hesitate! Mack would love a companion and I can't imagine anything more fun than being owned by two of these lovable little "turbo terriers"!!
My JRT is Mollie and she is 13 years old. I got her when her owner passed away. She is pure joy, love and a treasure. We moved to Idaho from Alabama and she loved to watch for squirrels--but last week she caught a mole. She was so proud. She gives me a reason to get-up in the morning and greet the day with enthusiasm. I cannot imagine living my life without the delights of a dog--especially a Jack Russel Terrier!!
I have a JRT. Her name is Lady. My name is Jada & I am 9years old.My dad gave it to me & my sister. We LOVE her.She is alot of fun.She loves her stuffed animal. We can throw it to her & she will go get it. I love Jack Russells!!! I have a purebred one and her name is Daisy. She's 9 months old and a lot of fun!
An old lady gave me and my mom her purebred Parson Jack Russell Terrior, Jubie. She will be 5 on April 24 this year and she has so much energy. She is lotsa fun but never tires. The old lady was afraid Jubie would haul her down on the ice. She is a purebred and has added great joy to our lives.

Looking for info. First week with 6 mo. old JRT puppy. He is wonderful. We mulepack with our mule into Wyoming every summer (beginning of Sept.) and want to take Archie with us. But, don't want him bringing moose or bear into our camp. Also, my husband hunts elk and deer every fall. Can Archie help?

I am interested in purchasing a female JRT for breeding purposes. I see that you have a female, Natural Instict Jewel, on your webpage, and was wondering if she was for sale. If so, I would be interested in discussing a possible purchase.

I am a syndicated newspaper columnist that is working on a story concerning a certain Jack Russell terrier named "Doodle Bug". Her trainer, Steve Conrad of Aurora, N.C., uses Doodle Bug to hunt bobwhite quail and the dog actually points the birds alongside highly trained pointers and setters. Does anyone know of any other cases where Jack Russells have been used as bird dogs? I am on deadline and must have this article finished by 3:00, Friday afternoon, March 21. 2003. Thanks, Fred Bonner
Great Website
I am searching for information on why my 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier has recently started vomiting during his walks. It started a couple of months ago and we have tried everything including a harness, changing food, changing walks, changing feeding times etc. After numerous, expensive visits to the vets, who after xrays, bloodtests and antibiotics, have failed to find the root of the problem, we are at are witts end and the poor dog, who is perfectly well the rest of the day has just about had enough as well. If you know of anybody who might have had experience of this or might be able to advise us in any way we would be very grateful. Thankyou Paula
ME AND MY JACK RUSSELL ENJOYED IT
My sister has a Jack Russell, he is now 5 months old. His name is Jackson. You have some really handsome Jack Russells. My family currently own one Jack Russell, Ranger - a shorter dog than yours. He is neutered and a wonderful pet for the family. We are not currently looking for another family member, but we may be looking in the future. Your Jack Russells would make a fine addtion to any family. John Price
I'm a first time owner of a rescued pup named Caesar. He is just so loving and at the moment sitting in my lap in a baby sling I had for my son, he feels the need to be close to me and has followed me around since day one. I am so blessed to have this kindered spirit I thank the person (a fellow JRT owner) who found him every time I see her. My 15 month old son adores him and they play like brothers. I guess this is the second child.
I like your web sight. You do have some great looking Jacks. I have a one year old bitch Murphy is her name,12" smooth coat.I think I would like to find her a boy friend in about a year I would like a rough coat 12" to 13". Murphy has been fixed. Well after reading all the negative comments about how a Jack Russell is not for everyone?...we finally adopted a little "Bundle of energy" from a shelter. They said she was "about" 3 years old and already spayed.and after seeing her cower at loud noises,it is obious she was mistreated. we brought her home after driving 80 miles in a downpouring rainstorm, not knowing how this would work out? That was about 10 days ago, after much love and gentle care she's bonded with both my wife and I and is our "shadow wherever we go. Tonight while playing with "Babe" as we lay across our bed (something very few dogs have been allowed to do).We were sure life will never be without fun and amusement as long as we have her. sure they are a special dog, but if you are a true "Dog lover"? then Jacks are great. And she's so smart I expect her to start talking any day now.
I have a jr puppie named Lilly.

Great Site. I really love the hunting story section. I own 2 Jacks myself, and at only 6 months of age they have killed numerous mice and moles as well as a muskrat almost as large as my little female just a few weeks ago. Any more hunting stories to share? Feel free to email me.

Just a responce to the person with the snide comment on your dogs, get a life. If the only thing you can say to someone is something negative, then you need to. Dogs are not only loved and cared about because of their pedigree or what they do or look like, but because of their heart and personality and their eagerness to do their best to please. So because of that, I hope you are not a dog owner.
Hi there, I am the proud mother of my jackrussell,i.e. Betty Boop. She is a shorthaired all white jackrussell. She is my life, my little girl. She is really loving and seems to know every word I say. Only one thing is that I was never able to breed her due to the fact she would not let a male near her. She is very territorial. She don't like other dogs but she sure loves the cats. She just is my pride and joy and I wouldn't know what to do without her. Sincerely, Ms. Sheldon

I have 4 kids 1cat and 1 pure breed golden retriever so adding a little one to our family is going to be a new challenge. And unfortunatly I nothing about this breed. please help! thanks again Misty
Ken - nice web site. I enjoyed the short time we had to work our terriers last week. Hope to get out again. You have some fine working dogs. All the best. Congrats on Q's bronze medallion.
look like show shit to me
I have no way to privately respond as you left a bogus addresses. I show my Working Terriers and will offer no apologies for it. We Breed Working Terriers and yes they are built well enough to be competitive in a show ring. There is no need to produce non standard JR terriers in the name of earthworking, people that believe that are doing working Jack Russell Terriers a great injustice. I am doing my part for this breed by producing earthworkers that excel both in the hunt field and out. What do you have to offer? If you care to come out of hiding from behind bogus names and addresses and send me an email I will be more than happy to disscuss REAL PROPER DOGS with you. Who knows maybe we will both learn something.
Ken Bushell

Great site!! Good information on JRT. I have a JRT who is 14 1/2 years old. Blackjack's webpage is www.geocities.com/jayteeoh/BlackJack_Homepage.html. Blackjack has a really bad allergy problem on his stomach and paws. He will obsess with them until they become bloody. Could you please help? Thanks.
Great site.
Great website, we're looking for a year old male for our kennel.
We were smitten with the JRT bug about a yr. ago. We have a male and female, litter mates. They are longhair, the male is bristle back. The female is small, but characteristically all Jack. The male seems to have a little shepherd in the woodpile somewhere but he is such a smart and fast fellow. We do not hunt with them, nor show them but are starting to train some on agility. They are the most loving animals and thugs in clown suits! I cannot imagine how boring our lives must have been before they FOUND US!
WE ENJOYED THIS SITE WE ARE GETTING A JRT TOMARROW ABOUT HOW TALL DO THEY GET? HOW MUCH DO THEY WEIGH USUALLY? THANK YOU FOR LETTING US ENJOY THIS WONDERFUL SITE!!!!

Love your pictues and web site. We would love to own a JRT. We already have a beagle who thinks he's a JRT and no fence! Are walks on a leash enough to keep these active, curious little fellows happy? Our beagle when on a scent is in another WORLD! The only person he will listen to is my husband. I would love to take him to a wide open field and let him give chase but wonder if I could keep up. Are JRT similar when on a scent or will they come back on comand? Would appreciate your wisdom on this, thanks. MMCullen

I think these dogs are great and I may have a mix breed of this, in my dog. She looks like one in one of the Pictures. But they say she is a Welch Corgi Mix. I don't believe that very much as I saw these pictures now. You have a great Website And I enjoyed this site very much. Thanks, Homer
I was really pleased to find your site! I have owned one JR in the past. It was full grown when I obtained her, due to some agressiveness towards my children I gave her to my mother-in-law! However, I found a nice hunting male and she had pups. Of course I was given one that I absolutely adore. The problem that I have encountered is housebreaking. It seems that he knows that he is supposed to go outside. After he eats breakfast or supper and is put outside he won't go, regardless of the time alloted. Then maybe five minutes after being let in he will do his thing. A full littermate to him is also having the same problem. I never had any problems with gypsy, his mother going in the house but now she is at my mother-in-laws, she will sneak around and go. I was wondering since that these dogs are so gritty and will back down from nothing if they are merely trying to mark their territory? I have also purchased a crate to try this approach. This seems to be working better but urinating is still a problem. If anyone has any suggestions I would be very gratified if you could share them with me. The pup is about three mos. old. At Wits End!
Happy Holidays
I enjoyed your site. We have a JRT that owns us too. His name is Jackson, and is just a joy. Very intelligent too.Happy Holidays to all of you.
hello from austria! i admired your jack russell spike. he looks like a real jack russell, really beautyful! best regards from austria katja, merlin& cessy (jrt)
Thanks for allowing me a chance to view something so near and dear to my heart. I have hunted with terriers all my life. It was so hard to find friends to hunt with. The web has changed my life by bringing the sites into my home. Even though my preferance are the Yagd Terriers, I have always hunted with Jack Russels, and had good luck with them. Keep On A'Diggin', Sincerely, Brad A. Land
I have a Jack Russell, Peg, aged seventeen and a half years. Still full of fun when she remembers. Has the dog version of Altzheimers. Can no longer take me for a walk but great company non-the-less. Great website. George Wallis (from UK)
Dear to whom it may concern, I want to give a home to one of your puppies. I live in a rather large house with 6 bedrooms and in a beach community. I also live with my parents I'm responsible since I used to have two Great Danes and a Blood Hound and they wreren't the smartest or the tamest! I have also read some things on your website and am so glad that I can have a Jack Russell! - Melissa A. C. (from New York!)
HAPPY HOLIDAYS. I LOVED THE WEB-SITE, I JUST GOT A JACK RUSSELL FOR CHRISTMAS, AND HIS NAME IS MICKEY. HIS NAME IS MICKEY BECAUSE HIS SPOTS ARE IN THE FORM OF A MICKEY MOUSE HEAD. I FEEL THAT THIS WEB-SITE HAS GIVEN ME LOTS OF INFORMATION ABOUT THEM, AND I THINK THAT IT WILL BE A LITTLE EASIER TO RAISE ONE NOW. THANKS AGAIN.
We just bought a Jack Russell and his name is Buddy, I have learned alot from your web-site and I'm still learning. Thanks, Jody and Brian

I love your website it is very helpful we are getting ready to breed our dog Jaxi
I found your web site while searching for bad mouth problems in jr's. Nobody wants to discuss this issue. Well done. Our site is www.adbutna.com Bargara,4670 Queensland Australia E-mail merlouis@b131aone.net.au regards David Dinte
Hi! I have a 3 1/2 month old jrt puppy and I am absolutely in love with him. He is definitely good at testing how much he can get away with, but the training is going well. I don't let him get away with anything!! :> I live in a condo and was almost pursuaded out of buying this breed, it just so happened I fell in love with him before I knew what happened. He gets plenty of exercise, both by my walking him and by playing catch inside. He's great and so intelligent it's almost weird. Just wanted to let some of you fearful would-be jrt owners that with a lot of work and patience these dogs can work out to be great for you! M
Happy Holdiays and welcome
Test
I had the pleasure of owning a JRT until Christmas Day 2002. "Jack" got loose from our back yard and we haven't seen him since. He was 18 months old. We miss him terribly! I would love to have another some day. Your pups are adorable!
